A Christmas Tale at Beaverbrook
This Christmas, Beaverbrook has prepared a charmed programme of festivities including a new ice skating rink in the winter wonderland grounds surrounded by the Surrey Hills. The dining experiences and decorations on estate will be inspired by age-old stories and the magic of Christmas nostalgia; the warmth of past memories and moments that take us back.
Beaverbrook On Ice
From 1st December – 31st January, open 11am until 8pm daily, guests will be able to glide on the ice while listening to yuletide melodies and indulging in delicious mulled cider, hot chocolate and sugary waffles from the rink-side cabin. Beaverbrook on Ice will be available to both hotel and local guests visiting the estate for an overnight stay, spa day or dining experiences at one of the hotel’s delicious restaurants.
Priced at £35 for adults and £25 for children for a 45 minute skate on the new Beaverbrook ice skating rink.
Booking is not required, use of the ice rink is on a first come, first served basis.
Nostalgic festive experiences
Throughout the festive season, playful decorations will bring Christmas to life. A giant storybook will engulf the pillars at the entrance of the hotel and carefully inked onto the oversized pages will be a poem by renowned past guest, Rudyard Kipling, who in 1911 wrote ‘Christmas at Cherkley Court’ (the former name of the estate) on the pages of Lord Beaverbrook’s guestbook. For young guests staying in the run up to Christmas, thoughtful touches will be peppered throughout the property such as advent calendar treats and special surprises to leave out for Father Christmas and his reindeer on Christmas Eve from the hotel’s very own Rudolph Treat Station.
The Beaverbrook on Ice experience starts from £550 per night including overnight accommodation for two, breakfast, daily 45 minute ice skating sessions, a bottle of Beaverbrook bubbles on arrival, dinner at the Japanese Grill, and complimentary minibar.
