Somerset Maugham

"It was such a lovely day I thought it a pity to get up" - Somerset Maugham

This beautiful room is named after Somerset Maugham, reputedly the world’s highest paid English novelist, playwright and short story writer of his time, celebrated for his shrewd understanding of human nature. It features charmingly traditional décor, a king size bed, an exceptionally spacious bathroom, with a roll top bath and double walk in shower and a balcony affording spectacular views of 470 acres of uninterrupted gardens and countryside.

W.B. Yeats

"I have only my dreams" - W.B. Yeats

As Yeats' favourite room on the Beaverbrook Estate, this Turret Room has a roll top bath, double walk in shower, and a king size bed. Our W.B. Yeats room, named after Nobel Prize winning Irish poet, author and dramatist, is nestled in the eaves on the very top floor of The House and features its own private balcony offering spectacular views across the estate grounds and Surrey Hills beyond.
